A Woman on a Mission

This season, we are calling the collection A Woman on a Mission, because the Bo & Mo woman is up to big things in the world, and she needs to be able to move through life with ease.

She needs her wardrobe to support how she shows up without taking up any of her precious headspace. She has places to go, decisions to make and things to do in the world that only she can do.

Athlete is the backbone

As always, when we design, we begin with the base layers.

A woman on a mission needs her clothes to be comfortable. Clothes that are uncomfortable or restricting are a distraction, and who has time for that?

So, the first order of design is simple: comfort and stretch are the spine running through everything we do.

Our base layers are inspired by athletes. In the same way that an athlete chooses fabrics that perform, we choose fabrics that allow you to move through your day with comfort and ease, while always feeling well put together and ready to meet whatever your day may throw at you.

Minimalism is the discipline

When you are a woman on a mission, your wardrobe should reduce the number of decisions you have to make, not add to them.

Everything in your wardrobe needs to work. Getting dressed needs to be effortless. Because we know you don’t have half an hour to spend choosing outfits, second-guessing yourself and changing your mind as you run out the door.

Everything works with everything else, so you can curate your wardrobe at the beginning of the season and then, every day, all you need to do is grab and go without ever second-guessing your choices.

And because every Bo & Mo capsule evolves from the one before, pieces you already own continue to earn their place in your wardrobe. You don’t have to start again every season. You simply add the pieces that move it forward.

Rock chick is the edge

Then we add something that has been woven through our design philosophy for over three decades: a touch of rock chick.

Because who doesn’t need a touch of badass?

A little bit of toughness mixed into feminine softness. A reminder of who you are and what you’re here to do, especially in the moments when you need reminding most.

And a reminder to the world that you can be soft when you want to be and still be nobody’s pushover.

40 outfits. Three questions.

For Capsule 3, we curated 40 complete outfits using pieces you may already own, alongside a considered edit of new pieces designed to evolve your wardrobe effortlessly.

Each outfit had to answer three questions:

Can you move through your day like a woman on a mission?

Is it effortless in the morning when you just need to get out the door?

Does it remind you that you’re a badass who needs nobody else’s approval?

If the answer to any of those questions was no, it didn’t make the cut.

Your wardrobe is handled. Now you can get on with what only you can do.
